Thanksgiving Phase 2

So I have my guest list and I have my pot luck list. Now I have to figure out my grocery and supply list. I have to figure out how to seat all my guests and figure out what my table is going to look like.
My goal today after I finish cleaning my house. Is to sit down and make MY LIST of what I am making (along with my mom) and then breakdown each thing into ingredients list. Then I will cross reference my needs list with what I have and what I have, and what I have coming in my Klesick Family Farm and Smith Brothers deliveries.

If you may not have guessed by that above paragraph. I LOVE LISTS. I love handwriting them and then crossing things off as I accomplish them. In September when I go back to school shopping I buy myself a pack of College Rule notebook paper, a binder, sometimes even a spiral notebook and definitely some pens. Just so when I do need to make some lists I have all my supplies handy. Just writing about lists makes me happy. I think I have a disease :) Oh well it hurts so good :)

I have a key I like to use

(*) means buy at the store
(K) Delivered by Klesick
(S) Delivered by Smith
(@) I have

So for example:

Aunt Lili's Cucumber Salad
4 Cucumbers (*)
2 Tomatoes (*)
Bernsteins Italian Salad dressing (*)
Fresh Dill (*)

Stuffing
Bread Cubes (K)
Celery (K)
Onion (K)
Chicken Broth (*)

Turkey
Brine:

Water
Kosher Salt
Inside the turkey:
Apples (K)
Orange (K)
Limes (*)
Thyme @
Sage @
Parsley @
Onion (K)
Butter for under skin (S)

OK now you probably REALLY think I am crazy. My mom said that some of you may think I was. But in the same breath she said "can you give me a copy of "our" list" :) From here it is really easy to make my list of what I have to go get though. So it is worth the breakdown of dishes. It makes it REALLY easy to see what you need.

Now The Table:
I am thinking I will be making a run to Pier 1 Imports to pick up some more cloth napkins and napkin rings. I like to use all mismatched ones, so I raid their sale basket. I also need to figure out the centerpieces. I like it to look warm and inviting and eclectic, but put together. I have been saving every jar I could for months. I love using them as vases. So I am thinking if I can grab some flowers from Pikes Place Market or the farm stand down the road I may just fill all the shorter jars and run them down the center. That way it is not too high to talk over or too wide to fit place settings around. I think I am going to use out dining table and then need 2 more 8 foot tables. So I may put a pumpkin that I carve out the center and fill with flowers in the center of each tables. I will need candles and something to personalize it all. Something to sit on each plate. I have a plethora of wine corks...maybe a candle...maybe...I don't know. Lots to do tomorrow. Night-Night for now.
