I wanted some more napkin rings and after surveying my options I decided I didn't really want to spend $5 a piece. I needed 10 more :) I found this spool of metal wire ribbon at Pier 1 for $6.95 for 6 ft. of it. I started by rolling it out I only needed about 6 inches to make 1 ring. Because it is bendable metal I just made the ring, cut the wire like regular ribbon and then used the loose end where I cut to wrap it into itself and hook it together. You can also use loose pieces like what you see on the counter in the picture below.
Once I got it secured, I folded my napkins in a triangle and then just held the end in one hand to feed it through the ring. If you want to you can squeeze the ring to hold the napkin tighter. So easy and cute! Oh and on a side note. I buy napkins when I find them on sale. These were 20% off at Pier 1. I already had the green ones so I just bought some more of the same style in red and yellow. I like an eclectic table scape. that way you can't go wrong, mix and match napkins, plates, glasses and more. It lends itself to a very inviting table. People feel more comfortable and in my opinion it is more interesting to look at.
I might have play with this stuff as a temporary bracelet. I love it!
