We purchased a boat cruise with our friends at the Assistance League of Everett Auction. My friend Kelsey was the master mind who came up with making it a Christmas sweater party and it made for some fun fun fun! It was actually harder then I thought to find my sweater. Joe wanted to go as Cousin Eddie from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Shockingly I walked into Value Village and found everything he needed, even WHITE loafers in like 5 minutes! I found my ensemble at the Assistance League Thrift Shop and couldn't leave without the Tartan Plaid Skirt and red angora jacket. Didn't realize until I threw the red angora on that there was any way of making my shoulders look even bigger. WOW! Thank goodness shoulder pads are no longer main stream fashion forward. Not a good look on me :)
We had so much fun. Dare I say too much fun :) We went from Lake Union to Lake Washington where we met up with the Argosy Christmas Cruise. There had to be about 25 other boats most large yachts that were all decorated for Christmas. We went down to a part of the lake where someone was having a HUGE bonfire and then got to sit and listen to the Dickens Carolers that were aboard the Argosy but singing over a loud speaker for all to hear. At the end of the concert, the announcer called for "All our fellow friends and boaters, sound your horns and flash your lights!" All the boats did and it was just really really cool!
These are our friends we have had forever. Joe since little league and I since high school, some since college. We have gone through everything together and one things we all have in common...WE LOVE CHRISTMAS! This was the perfect night for us all. We were in the holiday spirit, we love the water and we even ended it with a stop Dick's for cheeseburgers at the end of the night. Thanks to our friend Scott for being responsible and driving the rest of us :) Safety first!
It was beautiful and clear Saturday night! The city looked incredible!
Something about Christmas Sweaters made us want to put our chins on our hands. And had I enough hair for a side pony tail. I probably would have rocked one :)
These below were our attempt to take "Prom Pictures" A couple of these poses I am pretty sure I have photos of Joe and I doing like 15 years ago :)
TOO TOO MUCH FUN! Sunday was rough on me. I am not going to lie :)
